Linedge — Intelligent Emergency Response Routing

Routes ambulances along the least-congested paths and allocates hospital resources in real time during disasters

GitHubLive

The Problem

During natural disasters, emergency response bottlenecks are often invisible — ambulances get stuck in the same congested routes everyone else is using, hospitals hit capacity without other facilities knowing, and no one has a real-time picture of where resources are available.

Every minute of delay in emergency response is life-or-death.

What Linedge does

Linedge is a real-time platform that coordinates emergency response across an entire city during a disaster event:

  • Smart routing — calculates the fastest, least-congested path from incident to hospital, updating as conditions change
  • Hospital load balancing — tracks bed availability across facilities and routes patients to the best option, not just the nearest
  • Public alerts — notifies people in the area of road obstacles and suggests alternate routes
  • Resource visibility — gives emergency coordinators a live map of ambulance positions, hospital capacity, and incident locations

Tech Stack

  • Java + NodeJS (backend + routing engine)
  • Firebase (real-time data sync)
  • HTML5 + CSS3 (frontend)
  • AI (congestion prediction + route optimization)
