The Problem
India's Jan Aushadhi Scheme (JAS) offers generic medicines at a fraction of branded prices — but most patients don't know it exists. Worse, even pharmacies enrolled in the scheme struggle with supply chain visibility: they don't know what's in stock at nearby JAS outlets, and patients have no way to find them.
The result is that millions of people pay 5–10x more for branded drugs when cheaper, equally effective generics are available nearby.
What Clinica does
Clinica is a web platform that bridges patients, JAS pharmacies, and the supply chain. It:
- Helps patients find the nearest Jan Aushadhi outlet carrying their prescribed medicine
- Explains the price difference between branded and generic equivalents
- Uses ML to predict stock availability and flag potential shortages
- Provides pharmacies with supply chain visibility
